This Cookie Policy explains how Slabr™ uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website (slabr-os.app) and inside the Slabr application. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow a site to remember things like your login session, preferences, or analytics data across page loads.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for the application to function — authentication, session, security tokens, CSRF protection. These cannot be turned off without breaking the product, and POPIA/GDPR do not require consent for them.

• slabr-session — keeps you logged in.
• slabr-csrf — protects against cross-site request forgery.
• slabr-tenant — identifies your active workspace.

Functional (always on)

Remember your preferences such as theme and language. Disabling these would degrade your experience but will not break the product.

• slabr-theme — light or dark theme preference.
• slabr-locale — your language and region.

Analytics (opt-in via banner)

Help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it. Aggregated and pseudonymised. Set only after you click Accept on the consent banner — declining keeps these off, and we honour browser-level Do Not Track signals where feasible.

• Product analytics (PostHog) — feature usage, page-view counts.

Marketing

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not sell your data.

3. How to control cookies

On your first visit to the marketing site a banner appears asking you to Accept or Decline analytics cookies. That single choice covers every cookie listed under Analytics above; strictly-necessary and functional cookies are always on (see above). Your decision is stored locally in your browser.

• Change your mind: clear the slabr-consent entry in your browser's site storage, then reload this site — the banner will reappear.
• Browser settings: every modern browser lets you block or clear cookies wholesale. See your browser's help docs.
• Questions or a granular request: email privacy@slabr-os.app and we will action it within 30 days.

4. Do Not Track

We honour browser-level “Do Not Track” signals where technically feasible by suppressing analytics cookies for that session.

5. Changes to this policy

If we add, remove or materially change cookies, we will update this page and announce the change in-app or via email where appropriate.
