Slabr™ + Paystack

What it does

Paystack handles the card flow. Slabr ties the payment back to the invoice and the originating job — without manual EFT chasing.

Public pay-by-card invoice page — branded, no client login
Webhook handling implemented for Paystack payment updates
Payment confirmations recorded against invoices when Paystack confirms the transaction
Multi-currency available where supported by your Paystack account (ZAR, NGN, GHS, KES)
Card and EFT options routed through Paystack
Refunds and partial payments tracked against the originating invoice and job

Data flow

Step by step.

Slabr → Client

Invoice issued → public pay link generated → emailed (or WhatsApp where enabled) to the client.

Client → Paystack

Client clicks the pay link → Paystack checkout opens → card or EFT payment processed.

Paystack → Slabr

Payment cleared → Paystack webhook fires → Slabr matches the reference and marks the invoice paid.

Slabr → Client

Receipt emailed automatically; payment recorded against the originating job. Accounting sync to Xero / Sage / QuickBooks is on the roadmap.

Common questions

Answers about the Paystack integration.

Is Paystack live in Slabr?

Yes. Paystack is the current live card-payment path for Slabr invoice links.

Does Slabr support Stripe too?

Not yet. Stripe is planned. Paystack is the live card-payment path today.

How long does setup take?

About 4 minutes. Connect your existing Paystack account, choose your default currency, and your next invoice carries a pay-by-card link.

What does Paystack charge?

Paystack's standard transaction fees apply (typically 2.9% + R1.50 on local cards in SA, lower for instant-EFT). Slabr does not add any payment processing fees on top.

Can clients pay by card and EFT in one flow?

Yes — the public invoice page presents both options through Paystack. Most clients choose card for speed.

What happens on failed payments?

Failed transactions are recorded but the invoice stays open. The client can retry from the same link without your team doing anything.

Does it work for partial payments and deposits?

Yes — deposit invoices are issued as their own invoice with their own pay link. Final invoice is separate. Both reconcile back to the same job in Slabr.

Is the integration free?

Free with every Slabr plan. You only pay Paystack their standard transaction fees on actual payments processed.
