Definition
A punch list is the construction/fit-out term (more common in the US and international markets) for what South African shops call a snag list — the remaining items needed to bring work to acceptance after substantial completion. Same concept: structured, owned, time-bound, photo-documented.
Example
Worked exampleAfter substantial completion of a corporate fit-out: client walks the space with the project lead, identifies a misaligned door, two paint touch-ups and a missing power outlet cover. The four items are added to the punch list with photos, owners and target completion dates.
Why it matters
Different markets use different words for the same operational artifact. Slabr handles "punch list" and "snag list" as the same thing under the hood — your team uses whichever term fits the client's vocabulary.
